LAUNCH EVENT – FREE PHOTOS and RESULTS are now available

Starting and finishing at the event arena at Rydal Hall, Ambleside, our longer EPIC and QUEST courses take in panoramic views of the central Lakeland fells, with a shorter BLAST course exploring the Rydal Hall estate, woodland and gardens. We have loads of extra fun navigation activities for kids and rookie adults, with a practice/warm-up JAUNT short course, MAZE and micro courses HUNT & CHASE all centred around our event arena. A great atmosphere is guaranteed, with music, commentary, local food, drink and coffee, making this a true family festival of navigation.

We use the same courses for males & females, boys & girls. We have the same prizes for males & females, boys & girls. You can take part as an individual, in pairs or in small groups – just enter as individuals and start together. Our trail navigation courses are suitable for all abilities, from beginner, through to international standard athletes. Using our map to guide you, every course has a number of check points that you visit in order. Each check point has a bright orange and white coded timing control which records your time. You’re running against the clock, learning map reading navigation skills, with plenty of help at hand for those who need it.

Change Your Direction with a new way of navigation and trail running!

We look forward to welcoming you to the very first Navigation Trails event!
